Reviewed by Gary Hartley (November 08, 2010) Mafia II is to sandbox games what staple guns are to cosmetic surgery: there’s a link there if you search hard enough, but it’s tenuous at best. Empire City, the ten square mile playground for 2K’s new gangster game, is completely open for exploration very early on. The big problem with this is there’s nowhere really to go. |

Reviewed by asherdeus (April 30, 2011) [Mafia II] doesn't pave new ground and it probably won't be remembered as one of the greatest mafia stories ever told across any medium, but it is the best mafia story that our industry has ever told and I think that's something to celebrate. |
