Batman: Arkham Asylum review (Xbox 360) |
Reviewed by Lewis Denby (August 29, 2009) Batman's a game with a few problems, yet it remains utterly captivating throughout the journey. Every inch of Arkham Island, every character nuance, every animation and every gameplay mechanism has been refined to a ludicrous extent. Every transition between styles is utterly seamless. It's a cohesive, captivating world, a tremendously engaging mix of action and sneaking, and one of the most exciting games of the year. |

Batman: Arkham Asylum review (PlayStation 3) |
Reviewed by Rob Hamilton (February 17, 2010) t's safe to say that Arkham Asylum is carried by the Joker. He isn't just your main adversary — his presence is EVERYWHERE. Due to all the monitors and stuff that's part of Arkham's security system, you'll see his face and listen to his taunts everywhere you visit. If he's not verbally ripping common thugs a new one for their inability to take you out, he'll be cackling over the next deathtrap that's been placed between you and him. |
