Mirror's Edge review (PlayStation 3)Reviewed November 15, 2008Jonathan Stark says: "The game does a lot of things right, things that every bone in my gamer body tells me shouldn't work. The first-person perspective, for instance, works better than it has any right to, taking a basic platformer/action title and making it truly immersive. It is easily the game's claim to fame. There's nothing quite like jumping from the roof of a skyscraper to a tiny ledge, thinking you've missed only to see your arm dart up and grab hold at the last minute." |
Mirror's Edge reviewReviewed July 22, 2009disco1960 says: "The future is not as pleasant as it looks. Underneath its brightly colored and highly reflective surface, a totalitarian government sees fit to monitor the flow of all information and crush any dissent among its citizens. In this world, the only privacy allowed is through use of an elite, underground team of mailmen, specially trained in traversing dense urban landscapes in short periods of time. Known as Runners, or “those who walk in paths not meant for human locomotion”, in Mirro..." |

Mirror's Edge reviewReviewed May 20, 2011teradio says: "Dan McKenney – You might be looking to play a new first-person shooter? If you are, that's cool. There's plenty of options, so take your time. No hurry… Now, a first-person action platform game? Well, there's really only one of those. The one being Mirror's Edge, a surprisingly creative new IP from the Battlefield devs Digital Illusions CE." |

Mirror's Edge reviewReviewed April 24, 2009ultrablue says: "Background/story: Mirror’s Edge is set in an unnamed near future city, where all forms of communication are monitored by the local government. The only way to get messages through unchecked is through Runners, parcour practitioners who run through the city sky line in order to deliver information. You play as Faith, one of these runners, who early on in the game exposes a political conspiracy and is on a journey to expose the truth and her sister for being tried for murder. " |
