Culdcept is an unlikely hybrid of genres; it combines the battle system of a collectible card game with the mechanics of a board game and even throws in a bit of role-playing. An eccentric concept, surely, but Culdcept pulls it off with a quirky charm and surprising originality. The premise of the game is familiar territory for those familiar with traditional RPGs: the goddess Culdra rules the world through a book of spells, Culdcept.
