Quake II review (PC)

Reviewed December 30, 2011

Lewis Denby says: "Enemies dart and dodge, firing sprays of bullets in the final seconds of their lives, trying everything they can to bring you down, even if it means losing their own lives in the process. The range of enemies on display is perhaps the only area in which Quake II rivals the variety of its predecessor, too."

Quake II review

Reviewed October 12, 2016

Linkamoto says: "It’s a precarious thing to write a review for a 17-year-old game. How does one judge its graphics, its sound—hell, its gameplay, even? But the latter is something that typically shines through in a game of this age, and allows for an adequate review. I’m happy to report Quake II delivers here--even on the limited N64 console, the gameplay is solid as hell, although not without its faults. "
