mariner says: "I've noticed that the platformer genre really started to get stale on the SNES. Sure, Mario World was more than adequate, and there were a select few other gems as well. But unfortunately, the vast majority of them seemed to be the same thing over and over - slow moving cute fluffy animals in generic worlds with average gameplay at best and wild swings in difficulty.
