Reviewed by Jason Venter (October 01, 2004) The minute you’re free to go, all the cars start bashing into each other while moving down the road. Some guy comes from your left and swings you right so that your acceleration takes you straight toward a rail. You weave wildly and watch with satisfaction as your car t-bones your aggressor, then sends him skyward as you pass underneath. “Takedown,” the screen flashes, and suddenly you know where the game got its name. |

Reviewed by blood-omen (November 16, 2007) Burnout 3 though the 3rd installment in the burnout series is not like its predecessors, the reason being that Criterion Games has completely reinvented the series and everything that was associated with the Burnout world. |

Reviewed by careless_whisper (June 30, 2005) Watch someone who’s played a few videogames—newcomers to the medium don't count. Maybe your little brother enjoying the latest shitty licensed superhero disc? I guess it doesn’t matter. My point is this: most of the time, no matter how intense the action on screen, no matter how much your brother may be enjoying himself, he’ll probably be slowly jiggling the thumbstick, methodically pressing a buttons or two, his eyes unblinking but glazed over. |
