The rest of it rules, save possibly the atrocious vocals in the background music (TO TAKE ME DOWN YOU MUST FIGHT LIKE A MAN!), but the lacking opposition is a flaw that can't possibly be understated. Most every battle in the original was refreshing thanks to the constantly-changing yet consistently-excellent lineup of monsters; in stark contrast, I was almost bored with many of this one's fights by the time I'd worked my way through a few hours of "guy with scythe".

The question is however, how hard do you like your action? Do you enjoy a game steeped in technique and loaded with style? And if so, do you want it to kick your arse seven different ways to sunset, only to come back for more once the lights have gone out? If your reply was a confident sounding affirmative then hold on, I'm about to make your day.

Devil May Cry 3 has a scope that the original in all of its awesomeness couldn't have possibly matched. It actually goes back in time and chronicles the most important moment of Dante's life — the night during which he learned the truth about his birth and fought his twin brother Vergil, his only remaining kin, in an epic battle to the death.

When I think of sexy, the first thing that comes to mind is a lovely young woman. But when it comes to games I think “Devil May Cry 3.” The wait is finally over, and Capcom finally did things right. Anything and everything that went wrong with Dante's second outing has been fixed. There are all sorts of changes and some new features to make this game perfect.

Devil May Cry 2 sucked. Is the third installment more like the former game or the latter? I think it’s not so much like either. Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening is worth your money, your sweat and your tears, but it sure isn't a second coming of its massively popular and influential ancestor. Devil Ma...

I wish I had a sword. A nice, big, demon-slaying sword. And guns, two guns, so I could go John Woo all over legions of the demons. I wish there were legions of demons for me to go John Woo on, endless throngs on hell-spawns ripe for the slicing. I wish I hung out with a girl in a schoolgirl outfit who had more weaponry than a third-world country strapped to her waste. I wish, I wish, I wish.
