Reviewed by Lewis Denby (December 17, 2011) I’ve found Fallout to be enormously irritating. It’s a grotesquely unfriendly game. Its interface is convoluted and confusing. Wandering through the desert early on will almost certainly get you killed by foes you’re totally unequipped to defeat... yet wandering through the desert is the only way to progress. You can complete some fairly menial tasks in order to become strong enough to tackle them, but - well - they’re fairly menial. |

Reviewed by FeralErudite (February 29, 2008) CRPGs are all alike. You make a character then you fight some monsters. This makes your character tougher, although nothing actually changes since the monsters you now fight have increased in toughness as well. Eventually, your character becomes so tough, that there is only one monster left that can challenge you. You defeat this monster. You win the game. |

Reviewed by pup (January 18, 2006) Until now, there were no dreams of the future. The world as you know it has been confined to the massive bunker, Vault 13. Inside the redundant maze of sterile hallways and fluorescent tubes, all that mattered was keeping the vault running for future generations. Even that task has become a hopeless cause. The water purification system in Vault 13 has broken, and without new water chip, your people will die. |
