Valkyrie Profile review (PlayStation) |

Reviewed by Lassarina Aoibhell (July 14, 2002) Valkyrie Profile has a strong background based in Norse mythology. The end of the world, the Ragnarök, is at hand. The Vanir and Aesir (gods) must battle the dark forces to keep the world from ending. In order to do this, they require the souls of slain warriors. |

Valkyrie Profile review (PlayStation) |

Reviewed by djskittles (July 05, 2004) After playing so many role playing games, they start to become more and more similar. That’s not to say that they’re bad, it’s just that so many follow the same formula and use similar conventions, so things become stale at times. Once in a while a game offers original gameplay only to be crippled by a substandard plot, or vice versa. Surprisingly enough, Valkyrie Profile is one of the most entirely original RPGs I’ve had the pleasure of playing in a long time. |
